Reminder – Patrol Leaders Council Meeting –Monday Night from 6:30pm-8pm. Agenda includes upcoming meetings to plan, campout planning and high adventure discussion.
Olympic Campout this Weekend – Permission slips are due at the start of the meeting and can be downloaded from www.troop19.org. We do need leaders to attend and/or parents/leaders to help with transportation. Adult Coordinator-Nate McManus, Youth Coordinator-Dan Hein. Opportunities for advancement for this campout will be available. New Scouts will be encouraged to work on their 30 day fitness tests for Tenderfoot Rank. Additional advancement opportunities in outdoor skills (camping, cooking) can also be completed.
This past Saturday we had a good turnout of Scouts, Leaders and Parents helping Pilgrim Church with their annual spring clean-up. Everyone worked hard and we finished up with a BBQ. Thank you to all that helped on Saturday. Scouts can use the service project as community service hours for rank advancement.
Be sure to visit www.troop19.org to see pictures from the Church Clean-up and also from Mike Mahoney’s Eagle Scout Service Project that was completed at Amherst Street School.
We still need an adult coordinator for the troop’s 2010 High Adventure Trip.
Don’t forget about signing up for the BSA National Jamboree in Virginia for 2010 or a trip to Philmont, New Mexico!
