Troop 19 earns Unit of Honor!

Arrowhead District Banquet is Friday, March 12th at Camp Carpenter.  Mr. Brent Morrison will be receiving the District Award of Merit. Troop 19 will also be recognized as a recipient of the Daniel Webster Council’s Unit of Honor award!  This will be a fun night for friendship and fellowship.  I know we have several already planning to attend, so be sure to see me either Monday or this Tuesday night at the latest.

The 2009 Unit of Honor recipients have been announced.

The Unit of Honor program covers all facets of Scouting operations for a unit and strives for excellence in all categories.  This year's recipient units have demonstrated membership growth, support to the council's Friends of Scouting campaign, high percentages of boys attending camp, quality year-round programming, and attention to adult leader training.

It is my pleasure to announce the following Units of Honor:

Pack 4, Milford

Troop 12, Hollis

Troop 19, Nashua

Troop 260, Brookline

Troop 410, Nashua

Troop 807, Amherst

The awards will be given out at the 2010 Arrowhead District Recognition Dinner, on Friday, March 12, 2010.  The dinner will be held at Camp Carpenter.  Tickets are $20 per person and must be purchased by Friday, March 5, 2010.  They can be bought online here

I am pleased to announce that Troop 19 has earned the “Unit of Honor” recognition for 2009.  Your troop had tremendous success in all facets of Scouting and I am excited to recognize you publicly.  The award presentation will be part of the District Recognition Dinner on Friday, March 12 at Camp Carpenter.  I hope that you both will attend and try to bring others from your troop to share in this excitement.  Tickets can be purchased through the Arrowhead District Website.

Congratulations!

John

BSA Uniform and Proper Insignia Location

We need to be mindful of proper uniform wear with regard to insignia and award being sewn in the proper places.  We have several violations and need to look sharper here.  The troop will have a formal uniform inspection on March 2nd with individual inspection scores to identify the gaps.  We will have a follow-up inspection at the end of March to see how we have improved.  If you are unsure of what goes where or you want to print out an inspection form, go to BSA Official Uniform Inspection Form

Wanted: Outgrown Uniforms

If you have outgrown your Scout uniform, please consider recycling it for the troop.  The troop maintains an inventory of uniforms available to all and we take pride in having our Scouts at 100% in uniform for meetings and Special Events.
