This weekend the troop is going to Hidden Valley for a fun filled campout with plenty of activities including a T19 version of the Amazing Race. Scouts will be in teams of two participating in a variety of events. Tuesday night’s meeting will include time for the patrols to plan menus and duty rosters. Be sure to bring your permission slip and payment of $15 for the weekend. Permission slips are on the troop website.
A few reminders:
Camp Cards - Raise money for summer camp!
We have 7 scouts selling the $5 coupon cards. Only a few more weeks left to sell. We have extra cards if you need more or want to sell. See Mr. Anthony. $2.50 out of every $5 sold goes to your scout account.
Thank you to those of you who have given to the annual Friends of Scouting campaign. We can still use support from those who have not pledged for this year. You can schedule payments throughout the year with your pledge. See Mr. Adam Wolff for more information.
New Safety Afloat Training Available Online
Assistant Scoutmasters and any adult planning to canoe, boat, kayak with the troop should consider taking the Safety Afloat Training at www.nmyscouting.org. The troop already has few adults certified in Safety Afloat but having a few more knowledgeable leaders is good for us. The training is about 30 minutes in length.
Wood Badge Training - Slots Almost Full!
This is an excellent opportunity to receive advanced leadership and management skills applicable to your job as well as scouting. Two three-day weekends in September is the commitment. Financial aid is available.

Memorial Day Parade
Any scouts and leaders interested in marching in the parade can attend with Pack 19. If you want to have the “tough guy” look, bring your backpack to hike the parade route!
The Pack is going to start gathering at 9:45 am at Holman on May 30 for the parade. If scouts arrive by 10:00, that should be enough time for them locate the Pack and lineup. The parade does not generally get going until 10:30. The Pack usually waits for parents in the funeral home parking lot across from Elm St. Middle School and scouts should make arrangements to be picked up. Contact Mrs. Richardson for more information.
